Context:
In the conditions of education's reformation and social transformations the requirements set for the activity of all education practitioners, professors included, are being changed. Changes in the sphere of their professional competences are irreversible. There appear a need for the conceptualization and harmonization of professional activity of professors of high school. Taking into account the fact that competences of high school professor are an important indicator of his/her activity, the urgency of implementation of the idea of this project is connected to the unification of approaches to determine the sphere of competences of professors in the conditions of changes and development of diagnostics' toolkit.
The above mentioned promotes futher standardization of results of professional activity of high school professors in partner countries. The aim of the project "Competences of high school professors in the era of change: V3 and Ukraine" is the definition and diagnostics of complex of competencies of high school professors that meet the demands of the time and further standardization of their activity in 3 countries of the Visegrad Group (Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia) and Ukraine.
Solution:
Definition and diagnostics of competences of high school professors will be made on the basis of international experience of four partner countries. The main objective of the project will be achieved through a comparative analysis of the nature and state of development of competences in the partner countries, further development of recommendations and conclusions, standardization of the professors' performance. The result of the project's realization will be identification of complex of competencies that meet the criteria of quality and correlate with variable processes in the society, as well as development of methodology, diagnostics apparatus of research and proposals concerning upgrading of quality of professional activity of professors. Four research groups in each of the universities of the partner countries will be formed in order to implement the project.
Regional relevance:
Each research group will consist of 5 members (scientists, experts in education, representatives of NGOs). Among the 20 people, four will represent the non-governmental organization "Ukrainian Academy of Acmeology" which explores the process of achieving by the personality high professional development. International section of non-governmental public organization "Ukrainian Academy of Acmeology" for standardization of results of professional activity of professors of higher education and improvement of its quality was created with the participation of local communities and employers in the framework of the project. Participation of interested target groups will allow to determine the nature and particularities of changes in the competence status of professors of higher educational institutions.
